on natural water circulation and requiring no pump or control unit. All thermo-siphon systems can also be used with an existing gas water heater, using the gas water heater as the back up system.

Mains water flows into to the tank and then to the lower part of the collector where it is heated.
The water ascends in the collector as it is heated and flows in to the tank, and from there on to the user. An electric backup system insures hot water during long periods of heavily cloudy weather.
